Ok, I only dig one and her she is. She ran the half in 2:05 and change. That’s under a 10 minute mile - which in my humble opinion is awesome.
Amy’s Commentary on the Race:
The Bridge was ok - nothing like Budapest. Governor’s Mansion was awesome.
Running by Church’s Chicken at mile 10 was nasty. I wanted to puke.
My lungs were great, my legs were killing me. (I could put a comment here, but I will resist.)
There was this dude at the beginning of the race that had awful BO, so my first mile was like 8:15 or something because I was trying to get away from him.
Some guy Farmer Blew right next to me - and I wanted to go “GRANT ENGLISH, why do you do that??!!”
(GE’s Comment: I resent this remark. It is a fine art to do this without getting snot on both you and those around you. I thought moving to Arkansas, I would have at last found a place that would appreciate the finer art of this.)
I’m tired but so glad I did it.

Congratulations, Amy. That’s a great time!
If all you got on you was some farmer blow (aka “sportman’s blow”), consider yourself fortunate. You must have been in the more refined section of the pre-race staging area!
