I feel terrible. My son - the wonderful one - has a problem most morning remembering his backpack. I realize that I have around 12 more years of this.
So this morning, we get to the drop-off and he says - “I forgot my backpack.”
Long pause. “I’m sorry, son. That’s part of getting ready to go to school. Looks like you’ll need to tell your teacher that.”
I thought he was going to cry.
I get home and Amy tells me this.
They turn their homework in once a week now. All of it is in the backpack.
Bummer. Guess he won’t forget next week…

You make me laugh….hard lesson, but good one. Man, I wonder if I would have broken down and taken it. Probably would not help him remember, though. I bet the teacher thinks your a bad parent for not bringing it.
