We are here, finally. We stayed in KC last night and ate dinner with my mom and dad at On The Border. It was cool to have the crew meet my parents.

My mom and dad would be awesome youth leaders. I wish they were in the same town as us because my dad has the same kind of annoying sense of humor as I do. Well, honestly it’s probably the other way around…

But the drive across Kansas is just…well…honestly…I have moments when I wonder if God just took a nap or daydreamed when he was speaking that part of the world into existence. There just isn’t anything out there.

Tonight was great. And I love the mountain air, the snowcapped mountains, and the ‘feel’ of home. I’m so thankful my parents took us on long Saturday drives in the mountains when we lived in Denver. It’s become a place of refuge and clarity for me.

And I really need it this week. I’ve got some major bike time planned with JC.

I will be praying for you this week. I know how you feel. Let me know next time you are in God’s country (NWA) a little in advance and I am might could buy your dinner.

By the way, TAG, you are it. I couldn’t leave a msg b/c you turned your phone off.

Oh yeah, which email do I need to email you at. I notice your gmail is not working. Did you not pay your bill?

I’m glad y’all made it okay. Ahhh, Kansas, what a great place to nap or watch a movie. Nothing to else to do.

I’m still hurting by not being with y’all. Man, what a great place to encounter Jesus.

Tell Holly nobody will think she’s a wuss for calling home. After all, everybody knows her dad is extremely cooool.

Love you, dude and I’ll be praying for all of you there!

Ahh… Estes Park. My family and I will be there in 1 week (we arrive on Sunday, June 26th). I know what you mean about being a place of refuge - I feel exactly the same way.

How long are you guys going to be there? Maybe we can grab a coffee at Starbuck’s or Kind Coffee if you’re still there when we arrive.
