Allergy Day

June 21st, 2005 · 1 Comment · 6 views

One of the main reasons I love Colorado is that pollen is hardly ever a problem. Until this week.

It’s raining yellow here. It’s all over the cars, benches, rocks, and porches. If you stand in one spot for longer than 20 seconds, you’re covered in yellow.

And genius here left his Zyrtec in Little Rock. By the way - why the heck does an allergy company need a website?

So thanks to Annette, I’m drugged and happy again. It’s good to know dealers…you know what I mean.

NEWS and NOTES from the Getaway:

Rocky Mountain National Park doubled (let me repeat that in case you missed it) DOUBLED their entrance fees this year. So instead of a cool $30 for our vehicle - it cost us $75. On the positive side - we saw where that money was going to use…a hole in ground with a shack around it.

Craig Scott, Rachel Scott’s brother, (from the Columbine tragedy) spoke this morning. I was on the Zyrtec hunt so I didn’t get to hear it first hand. BUT every student has said it was the most powerful session so far.

Turner found a surprise in his bag while unpacking…I’ll try to post a pic of it when I get back or you can just ask him about it.

I’ll throw in more stuff tomorrow. We street witness tomorrow so pray for us. Some of the students this will be their first time and the wig out factor is sometimes high. We’re going to Boulder.

I’m really hurting now. I hope it mist all afternoon. For others reading, it won’t stop the outreach. It misted all afternoon last year, and our students came back with mucho grande stories to tell. I’ll be praying for the newbies and for the oldies to see Jesus work in a new way.
