I might have to recant what I wrote here because after the beating The Tide put on the Gators…..
I was beginning to believe…. until…..
But Mike Shula once again proved that he is one of the dumbest smart people on the planet.
Explain to me what in the world was Tyrone Protho doing on the field in a 31-3 rout on 4 and 5 with less than 5 minutes left in the game?
Shula did this last year with Brodie Croyle - in a rout, he left Croyle in to bust up his ACL.
What happened to Protho? Broke his leg in two places, gone for the season. The one guy on the team that could go HOME RUN every time he touches the ball is now gone.
The good news? Bama football is back. So is Penn State. So is Notre Dame. I hate Notre Dame, but it’s good to see them playing well.
Good thing the defense is as good as it is.

I didn’t really believe in Bama either until this week. Not to take anything away from them, but I thought UF was a little overrated.
But Bama killed them so overrated doesn’t matter.
I saw that leg break too. Oh man that was nasty.

I’m currently in mourning… I can’t believe we lost Prothro. I think we were in full out “run up points” mode, much like Auburn was against SC and Spurrier last night (what a great whipping that was too!)
