Jeremy’s Plan

December 7th, 2005 · 13 Comments · 15 views

Jeremy noted here that he would love to have his picture on my blog. Well, here you go, Jer.

Now to steal a page from marko, put your favorite caption for here in the comments. The winner gets to free lodging and meals if they decide to ever go see Jeremy.

Jeremy: Only in Canada can you have a good looking ‘fro like this.

Grandmother: Why does my grandson have an afro?

Other Dude: I don’t think enough of this stuff could ever make that ‘fro look good.

Wow, promotion of alcoholism, and representation of hallucinogenic, mind altering drugs… what’s next? A shot of kids sneaking into a XXX-rated theater? I don’t understand where in your ministry to others, this type of thing fits. Maybe I’m looking too deep.

Jeremy is the one on the left…

Bar - I guess that’s how they roll in Canada!

Zack - I thought you said that your caption was funny?

barry, my grandparents are ultra, ultra conservative. my dad bought a wine-making kit 2 years ago, and last year at thanksgiving, he brought some different variations to our family gathering. my grandma doesnt touch the stuff. thats part of the joke. im sorry if this offended you. we were just being stupid and messing around. take a deep breath, nobody is promoting drugs or alcohol.

Jeremy, I’m not offended, I see this stuff quite frequently, being in the Air Force, getting around, it’s commonplace. Just was inquiring if there was any more reason for it to be in my brother’s blog. I’m not an uptight person, it just surprised me that the Grant I USED to know would post that. But people change, and though we have not talked to each other in a year and a half, I guess he’s gotten a bit more laid back than before. It’s a good thing.

he he….I hope I’m a LOT more laid back than what I used to be.

I hope it could be said I was more gracious and loving.

Without the aid of mind altering drugs! :)

I must meet Barry and find out just how Grant USED to be :-)

Or, I’ll just get Grant to drink a few brews and find out from a loosened up Grant

  • 9 Grant // Dec 8, 2005 at 5:05 pm

the old grant wouldn’t have had a brew with you.

instead, I would have questioned your salvation, insulted your mom, and quoted a bible verse to justify it.

Thank God those people don’t exist anymore…(SARCASM ALERT)

Let’s just say I got up early. I don’t understand the problem. Has anyone watched T.V. lately?

Don’t know Jeremy or his relationship with Jesus, but I do know Barry and Grant.

This is an eye opener. Most people even in our so call churches really don’t know each other. We look at snapshots of life and make our decision. I wondering if cameras were available at the time Jesus went to the home were wine was being served and ladies of the evening were serving, what kind of snapshot would have been taken?

Who are we following? What fruits are we bearing?

Since I do not know Jeremy or who he is following or the fruits he is bearing can not make any judgments as to the picture or what it means.

May be a better decision on the picture to be used for publication would have been the wiser move.

I respect both Barry and Grant and if the dialog between you is in this setting, I think it is great.

    You’re DAD!!!!

Ah, they’re just some European wanna be’s!

    ;)

  • 13 Grant // Dec 11, 2005 at 5:48 pm

Annon - nice call. we are all just trying to be more european…

Dad - first of all..it’s your dad, not you’re dad. That would mean you are dad…which of course, Barry and I both are but I don’t think that was your point.

second of all…the truth of the matter is that Barry and I decided that even in our older age we needed to get under your skin one more time…

hence the photo. Jeremey staged the whole thing last Thanksgiving just for this reason.

thirdly - change your blog. we can’t comment on your blog without giving blood and our first born kid. It’s annoying.

lastly - I don’t understand a word of your comment.

    you’re son.
