It isn’t safe, but it’s good…

Just got out of a screening of Narnia. WOW. Very well done. I’ll go see it again.

SPOILER ALERT…STOP READING…

Couple of favorite parts of the movie - they completely got the White Witch right.

The Beavers were perfect.

And Aslan’s roar when she questions his honor …. it rattled the theater. AWESOME!!!

There was a 1st grader sitting behind. She completely lost it when Aslan was killed. She just cried and cried and cried.

Great movie!

I was wondering about taking my daughter (also 1st grade). Is it good for a 1st grader? We read the book last year, so I thought I might take her.

I took 3 of my 4 (ages 6, 7, and 9) — perfectly appropriate. It was done in great taste without any blood and gore.

    I’m flirting taking Coop - 2nd grade.

    And pardon this sexist moment…

BUT I wonder if girls are going to have a harder time with the scary parts than the boys.

    BOYS RULE!!!

    ha hahahah

Nate (7) did real well with it — even picked up on the symbolism w/o any prompting. Jeremy (9) LOVED it — loved the books too. Anna Claire (6) didn’t get scared at all, but wasn’t as interested — but she hasn’t read the books either.

Narnia was great. I’m in LA this weekend so I got to see the sneak peek Thurs night at El Capitan theather in hollywood. Whole theater was decked out with Narnia stuff, props, costumes… very cool theater and great movie. Trying to decide if my 7 year old will like it on be frightened by the tense parts.
