Matthew 23-25

Got a day behind posting. That just really chaps me. I’ve also decided that I’m only going to tackle one (okay, maybe two) points/insights in the reading.

Today’s - the 10 virgins. What the heck? I get that the point of the parable is to “always be prepared” but what’s with the imagery? I don’t get it. I’ll have to dig a little deeper on this one.

The other thing I want to notice is this - the master didn’t gift all of his servants equally. Only to the level of their maturity/ability. I don’t want to read too much into that. I do want to say this - we’re responsible for what we’ve been given, not what somebody else has.

That principle alone should keep us busy enough as to not critique other’s in their ministry. Yeah….right.
