More Fishing

Rowland and I are now having a Bass Tournament. We are going to keep track of all the fish we catch this spring/summer. Here are my two favorite big mouths. DSCF0001

So far…Rowland’s up by 10. That’s right. He stuck it to me yesterday. He was up one fish then went on to a 23 to 14 win. It’s a shame to catch 14 fish and loose by 9. The fishing has been that good. After a the first 6 or 7 fish, I decided to switch to a bass rat…kinda like the one Rowland was using.

Rowland caught the largest crappie I’ve ever seen using a spinnerbait here. Ridiculous sized crappie. (Which I don’t really get. You say “craw-pee” but not spelled that way…what gives…)

    Oh, how I miss a good crappie fish fry! That is one FINE crappie…like you might find in Smith Lake.
    BTW, I would also feel the need to put the pronunciation for “crappie” in the text, lest you get backlash comments from Yankee blog visitors.

    I don’t know what’s uglier, the two “big mouths” or that Broncos jersey.
