A bunch of us went to the movies last night.
I have a major confession to make. It’s a sickness, I know. And admittance is the first step of recovery…..but…..I have a crush on Natalie Portman.
I think not only is she like very pretty…but she can act. Even bald.
What in the name of everything good and holy is happening to me?????????
I’m completely loosing it.
As for the movie – it was okay. Not great. Not horrible. The politics were over the top, fundamentalist bashing extreme…and honestly, it would have served them better if they had dropped the extreme level down a few bits. And there is the PC appropriate “Save the Gays, they are so oppressed” message.
But well shot. Well filmed.

My bride took me out for dinner and a movie for my birthday the other night… we saw V as well. Ummm, not getting the Natalie Portman vibe (my wife said she looked anorexic in the film). But yeah, the whole “all the right wingers will take over the world and kill gays) thing was WAYYYYYYY over the top.
But I have to confess to a certain geekishness when it comes to the Wachowskis. I took time off work for the Matrix sequels, if that is any indication of anything.
So yeah. I’ll certainly never hear the 1812 overture the same!! =)
