I was asked this recently and about halfway through my answer, I realized that it wasn’t really a serious question but more of a complaint in the nice Southern way.
So much for my powers of observation. I’ve really got to work on that…or maybe not.
Whether it was intended for good or not, I still think it’s a great question.
I’ll limit my list to 2 but I’d love to hear everyone else’s reasons.
1. It allows me to have ‘community’ with other crazy people like me.
2. It’s another tool to lifewalk with folks and process out loud.
3. It makes me feel pretty.
What are some of your reasons?

Grant, I’m glad you blog too and yes you are pretty.
I really just wanted everyone to think I’m cool. That’s why I blog.

Umm, I think you blog because you can’t count… “I’ll limit my list to 2 …” you gave 3 reasons.

It’s a creative outlet that has the useful purpose of keeping family and friends informed. When more than two people read your blog there comes a sense of validation - that other people appreciate the way you see things.

Community or sense of it is a good reason. I like to know that if others think the same way that I do, maybe I’m not so crazy afterall. But, if I am crazy, I like the company I’m in.
Do you feel pretty or does it make you pretty?
Keep Blogging!

I would have to say that Jerry said it best. It is much easier to upload pics to a blog than to try to keep family that is spread out over states updated.
