Just took the “Leading From Your Strengths” test online. Our team at Grace is going to go through it.
No real shocks here - I’m off the scale as a Lion and Otter, bottom of the barrel as a retriever and beaver.
What does that mean? At best, I’m these things:
Grant is good at creating enthusiasm in others and to have and make many friends.
Strong sense of self-confidence
Does not like close supervision
Outgoing person - feels at home with strangers
Extremely high trust level
Optimistic
Likes to develop people
Good sense of urgency
Encourages people to be open
Must be involved in the decision-making process
May misjudge the abilities of others
Makes quick decisions
Believes rules exist to serve rather than to be followed
At worse - I’m a talkative, arrogant, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, rule-breaking pain in the arse who hates supervision.
What is more humorous is that as a psych major in college I lost count as to how many of these personality tests I’ve taken and the many different names different people give to the same characteristic. Meyers-Briggs, DISC, and others attempt to quantify and explain the human psyche.
The larger question is that the Lion and the Otter are on different sides of the food chain. Of course, I’m guessing there are very few actual lions that ever encountered an actual otter. So I guess we are all safe.

Well, hopefully people see you from your best side. I think the positive is true from what I’ve seen. Except that fly by the seat of your pants spelling, but nobody’s perfect.

Ah yes, the Christian horoscope.
At least that is how a few of us a FamilyLife joke about it.
It is a useful tool but can be overused.
I am a Golden Retriever with some Beaver and Otter thrown in. My lion is as low as my retriever is high.

And I can’t help but blush when talking about Beavers.
