So Cayden - the 3 year old - has regressed the last few weeks in terms of potty training. On purpose. Wet her pants, pee on the floor. It’s irritating and a hassle to deal with.
After 3 kids - there are some things you just know are coming and you deal with. Doesn’t mean you put up with it - just means that you deal with it.
But nothing, I mean nothing prepared me for tonight.
Amy is gone - “bible study” with the girls. So I’m flying solo. Normally - that’s not a problem.
But tonight is not normal.
It’s bedtime, Cayden has put on a pull-up, Coop and Cammy are brushing their teeth. Cammy informs me that Cayden has poo-pooed in her pull-up that we just put on her.
Cayden is laughing. Thinks it funny. I don’t. I tell to go to the bathroom while I scrounge up wipes that we haven’t used in years.
As I return to the bathroom, the wheels not ony fall off the wagon…the wagon completely blows up.
Cayden has taken her pull off. In the process, poo-poo is all down her back, on her pajamas. She’s flung the pull up in a way that there is poo-poo on the walls.
Unfortunately for her and me - I give a couple of good pops on that bare bottom.
Yeah….that bare bottom has got poo-poo on it and now my hand does.
Un
Freakin’
Believable.
So we took a bath…finally got it all off the walls, floor, and dad.
Parenting is so much fun.

I would have at least wiped off the poo before slamming my hand down into it! You’d think after 3 kids, you’d have learned that by now!

Gee, I thought only boys were that ornery! We learned after 2 kids that we didn’t need 3! Glad you shared, made my night.

I am sure it is frustrating and a pain to deal with, but spanking is how you deal with it? She is 3?
I am thinking a child that goes backwards with potty training is bothered by something. Either physical or maybe she has overheard you talking about your new job/possible move and regressing is her way of wanting things to stay the same.
That bothers me the most is some of your friends think its funny.

Don’t know how I ended up this far back, but what a typical “Mom is gone” story! By the way, be careful what you put on your blog. My doctor called Child Protection Services on me because I told her that I had spanked my 6 year old daughter for throwing a fit. I was looking for help - but not that kind of help!!!

It’s because you live in California…where the inmates run the asylum.
