Played dodgeball…

at 6500 feet above sea level.

Let’s do some math, shall we?

Out of shape Grant + overweight Grant + 6,500 ft above sea level + dodgeball = lungs imploding in fireball inside chest.

Other than that, it was great. We’ve met so many people…it’s going to take months to sort out the names in my head with all the faces.

But a start was made and I’m actually excited about starting the journey again.

hahahaha……instead going out to eat, and playing golf (with carts), we should have been pushing you to work out!

I’m glad for your passion to be rekindled. Amen, and Amen.

oh come on grant you didnt do that bad…it was fun to wasn’t it…..u know it was

Isn’t it funny how we NEVER do the math until AFTER the event. We just jump in and do it. Then again, I know the students appreciated it.

    Were they laughing. . .much?

That’s why I don’t play dodgeball. Wait - we have no altitude problems, I’m just out of shape.

Why is it that liberal arts majors always want to “do math” but can never really DO math? I think they have equation envy.

I’m jealous…wish my lungs could burn at high altitude…still hot, humid, and no where near fall here. I bet Amy’s loving running up there!

glad to hear the transition is going well…

i agree with gene on trading some altitude for a relief in temp.’

things like burst lungs are what make youth ministry the only “real” ministry. last time i played i broke one of my fingers.

I recommend you play in something other than your skirt next time…

  • 9 Grant // Oct 5, 2006 at 10:27 pm

By the way, a skirt is perfectly legit to play dodgeball in as long as you are wearing shorts underneath them.

I love dodgeball. It’s by far the best game on the planet to play.

The next is 6 square - which I will introduce next Wednesday night.

Ahh, six square. I learned that one at Grace and never made it to square one. I think it was the altitude….

Fun game. For any of you students who read this you are going to LOVE Grant. You couldn’t have asked for a better guy.

For all of you who will be joining Grant in his ministry in Parker, you couldn’t ask for a better guy to teach you how to lead.

Love you bro. Have fun. Can’t wait to visit you in CO.

    Currahee.

I’m sorry…but the visual of Grant in a skirt…I just lost my lunch.

  • 12 clay // Oct 6, 2006 at 3:03 pm

so what night is the night grant gets to yell at everybody and scare the whole youth group away?

  • 13 Wayne // Oct 6, 2006 at 3:45 pm

that’s the night he forgets to wear bloomers under his skirt
