Gotta call a couple of days ago - a good friend (Rich) was coming in for one day to close a business deal, would have I time to hang afterwards?

Does a bear…..live in the woods?

So while I’m waiting on Rich to call me, another friend calls me and says - hey, can you do you lunch today? I’m like - you’re a freakin’ doctor at Arkansas Children’s?!!!? Not today - in town for one day speaking, has some time free for lunch.

So I loaded up and headed downtown, grabbed lunch on 16th Street Mall (I love that place) and had a grand time with Dr. Dennis Schellhause. That family is just awesome. Debbie is a saint, their kids are awesome. His story is an incredible one and one day I’ll be able to tell it all but not yet.

Rich showed up at the end of lunch with Dennis so I got to introduce two Little Rock residents to each other in downtown Denver. Quite funny. Rich and I went to the ESPNZone then to the Museum of Nature and Science for an hour or two (membership has its privileges), ate dinner with the fam, got Rich off to the airport.

Funny moment 1: Rich and I are walking down 16th street when a cute little girl hollers at us “Do you like Democrats?” She was doing a survey or rally or registration or something.

I yell back “Heck no, I LOVE Democrats.”

“Really? That’s awesome!”

“Yep, I love them so much I want them all to know Jesus.”

She quit smiling at that point and didn’t really have anything else to say - to which I was somewhat disappointed.

BTW - I love Republicans too and want them all to know Jesus as well.
