Those who know me know I am no Hog fan. I don’t hate ‘em. Just not my favorite…kinda like Sprite.
But the latest BCS poll just shows the ridiculousness that is college football. USC and Notre Dame jump up in the top 5? Florida falls? This is the biggest reason why pro football is so better than college. The national media is just a collection of East-Coast/West-Coast lovers who don’t know jack about football.
Let’s all hope it plays out. If…and that’s a big IF… but IF Arkansas wins out (or Florida for that matter) there is no reason to keep them out of the national championship game.
Get ready, Hog fans and SEC fans everywhere to be royally jerked around by the BCS.

I’m going to be surprised if USC can run the table. They finish with their toughest games.
Florida didn’t technically fall, they were #4 last week, too. But, granted, they didn’t move to #3 when Louisville lost and were jumped by USC. But, Florida has looked pretty weak in the last 2 games. Another embarrassing home loss by Auburn (who’d been overrated all year, and I’m still picking Alabama to beat them, too) doesn’t make the SEC look any better, either.
I think Arkansas can beat Florida, but I’m not sure yet if they can beat LSU. Earlier in the season I thought they would, now I’m not as sure. Of course, I just want them to beat MSU right now.
If Notre Dame runs the table, I think it’s pretty evident they’ll be in the championship game because, well, they’re Notre Dame, and no matter if they deserve it or not, they’ll get in.
I just don’t want to see Michigan and OSU play twice. I keep hearing people advocate a rematch “if it’s a close game” next week. So if OSU beats Michigan next week, they play again in a month and Michigan wins, they’re the better team? Or vice-versa?
If they’d played in September, I wouldn’t mind it. But a team in September and a team in January are different teams. How much different will they be between these 2 games? Give a one-loss team who lost early a shot.
Oh, and regardless of what happens, the BCS still sucks.

BCS sucks big time. Notre Dame and USC are over-rated. Hogs can beat Florida, but I’m scared about Mississippi State. Woo Pig

being a native of Arkansas, I grew up on the suffering of being a Hog fan. You know, fumbles at the 5 yard line, layups missed with 10sec. left……Since moving to California, it has been weird how my days seem brighter and have less stress without the constant call of WooPigSooie. I have had to explain alot though, why a school would choose a pig for a mascot. (”…well, their real mean pigs!”)

I agree that the BCS is all messed up and college ball needs a playoff system. I went through the stages of grieving on Saturday (at which point I realized I was a little too into college football). I, along with Grant, do not hate Arkansas, in fact am happy to see the underdog work their way up. But Grant, if you thought hog fans were annoying when you were here, it is unbearable now. They need to remeber there is still a lot of wood to be chopped. I can attest to this after Saturday.

Dr. Laura,
I am soooo sorrrryyy that Texas lost…NOT.
JK. I can’t help but rib you when I have the chance. I think the Texas Ags would have beat your team next weak if it had not been for this loss, but I bet you rebound now and blow them away. Wouldn’t you rather get beat by KSU and TAM anyway?

Not speaking for Dr. Laura, but being a fellow Horn fan, I would say to jlo, we don’t like loosing to anyone, much less TAM.
Hook ‘em Horns!!

As a Horn fan, I’ll say this. A loss to Kstate or any school in Kansas is unacceptable. Embarrasing. Bring back Vince Young.
