The Police

I didn’t even watch the rest of the Grammys. Seeing The Police open was awesome. Seeing Jamie Foxx immediately afterward killed me. Seeing the Dixie Chicks win Album of the Year solidified my belief that the current record industry is smoking crack and completely disconnected from the rest of the world.

    1) The Police ROCK!!!
    2) Give it up for old school drummer Stuart Copeland - any drummer that still drums backhanded is cool.
    3) Agreed - music industry in general is out of touch with the rest of the world.
    4) That’s why I didn’t watch it. Sorry I missed The Police.

    yeah, especially when they give the dixie chicks country duo of the year and country album of the year. THEIR SONG WAS NEVER PLAYED ON COUNTRY RADIO!!!! they are not country nor accepted by country music. you will not even see them at the country music award shows. i was completely outraged when i saw they won 5 grammys only for talking back to toby keith (who noone in the music award business likes because he speaks his mind) and alienating themselves from country music.

    I saw all of it except for The Police - which I just watched. It was a good production - I’ll give them that. AND, at least rap did not totally dominate like it has recently. BUT - the whole Dixie Chicks thing was nothing more than handing out 5 anti-Bush awards. If those stupid girls think it’s about them, they’re even more pathetic than imagined.
