12.45 AM Wake-Up Call

“Grant, get up. I need your help with Camber. Get her in the shower.” That was Sunday morning.

Why do kids vomit at the most inopportune times? I realize that they don’t have a lot of control over the issue so I guess my question is more in the rhetorical realm than anything else.

And the smell (aren’t you glad they haven’t got scratch-n-sniff blogs yet?).

Cammy got up fine this morning and headed to school, no worries.

But this year has been brutal in terms of the health of our family. We did this our first year in Arkansas. Allergies, strep throat, you name it - we got it. This year has been the same thing.

The good news is that Spring is springing and believe it or not, we are closing in on our first year here in Parker. And that means that the family will have been properly inoculated!

Kind of reminds me when I was a counselor at Camp Ozark one summer and we had the stomach bug going around. It seems like every cabin had the bug except mine, all because I made sure my campers washed their hands..right. I woke up around midnight to the sound of a kid wretching, then hear the splatter of vomit next to my bed, only to have the next round splatter on me. Guess who had the stomach bug next?

ok, now departing from the NASTINESS in the comments above mine…

Wow.. it really has been a year hasn’t it!? I just realized that tomorrow I will have been at my job an entire year too. We moved at almost the same time. What a crazy year it’s been too!

Okay, I know that I’m braindead, but it hasn’t been a year yet! I’ve only been in San Jose for 10 months. You still have a few months left in the “innoculation” period. Just thought I’d be encouraging! Sorry!
