"Middle aged white guys ...who read this blog" ????

What the heck, Clay? Are you trying to be funny or just a jerk?

What does race have to do with the NBA abandoning the fundamental rules of basketball like traveling and carrying and hand checking? What does race have to do with having two sets of rules for your players - the star rules and the non-star rules?

Besides that - have you been to a NBA game lately? Who fills up those seats? It's the rich and famous, not the common fan.

if you say david stern needs to leave the nba, i take great exception to that. he has done many many things for the league. the only problem david stern has is he tries to market the nba to middle aged white guys, like the people who read this blog, and they, for whatever reasons, are not interested in the nba anymore.

bug selig just needs to get some cajones and step in, which he is passively doing by ignoring the home rune chase.

the only problem with the nfl is it stands for the no fun league.

Grant - baseball beyond fixing? That's because your not a fan. Anything can be fixed - it just takes leadership and determination. For example - David Stern needs to be replaced. That helps fix basketball. Bud Selig needs a spine transplant - that helps fix baseball. Barry Bonds needs to be ignorned. That helps too. Look at Jason Giambi today - he acknowledges his wrong doing and urges baseball to close the loop and fix the problem. It takes ... leadership.
