  my personal favorites would be:
  turn everything in the office (from books, to furniture, to computers) backwards
  have a party in his office and leave a note and the mess
  release garter snakes in it
  replace all his framed photos with pictures of yourself

  I recall that someone once took all the book covers off and switched them around to other books. That’s a nifty suggestion. Might take a while to notice though, depending on the person.

  better yet…do nothing at all…but make him THINK you did something that’ll he’ll discover later on…keep him thinking that for 3 or 4 weeks.

  the packing peanuts is good, but also you can just use regular ol’ newspaper in the same fashion.

  just remember, when you are out of the office there will be a retaliation.

  Problem with newspaper - the ink. It gets over everything and damages it.

  Not that I am speaking out of experience or anything like that.

  Hummmmmm, I wonder what packing plastic around his computer monitor would look like?

  Or maybe we could fill his office with fake snow????? No, that’d put him over the edge mentally!

  Harmless but shows you care: fill it with balloons.

  Mostly harmless but shows you care: fill it with balloons and add a few strategically place water balloons.

  Mostly harmless and funnier: fill it with balloons and add a few water balloons and shaving cream filled balloons.

  This would only work if you can get him to remove the balloons with a pin.
