The Rockies will sweep the Phillies and play the Diamondback in the NLCS.
And if Holliday isn’t the MVP - I’m disowning baseball again.
Why not the Cubbies? Because Lou Pinnella is managing. I’m watching the game last night…it’s the top of the 6th, bases are full, up comes the pitcher. Perfect opportunity to pinch hit, get as many runs as you can.
Lou doesn’t.
So I think - well he’s saying that the pitcher is going to throw until he’s gassed, keeping the game close until the Cub bats wake up.
Then Lou yanks him in the bottom of the 6th after throwing 85 pitches to “save him for Game 4.”
Someone needs to tell Lou that this is a 5 game series, not 7. You’re not promised a 4th game. He may have just saved him for his tee time on Sunday. Of course the relievers come in and give up 2 more runs. D’backs win, 3-1.
Which is a shame. I’d love to see a Cub-Rockies NLCS.

i agree with the part about saving him for game 4, but the truth of the matter is zambrano is about as good as any hitter they could pull off the bench. trust me, ive seen too many times where hes gotten big hits against the cardinals.

Grant - my question exactly, so when did this re-birth occur? I am glad it did - proves my point that 67 million paying fans this year were not all wrong. (Hopefully it is going to be a Rockies v Boston world series). Glad to see that you have come out out from the dark side of the force and into the light of America’s real past time.
