Much to be thankful for.
Too much to put in a list, some of it deep, some of it shallow, all of it sincere.
But today, we’ll hang out with the Smiths, the Schneiders (Brazil), and I’ll fry my first turkey.
I’ll post pictures and interviews with the fire department later.

I hope you –
1. didn’t put too much oil in the pot
2. were outside away from the house
3. thawed and dried the turkey
The only bad part of frying turkey is all that left over oil seems like such a waste — even our family doesn’t use that much oil before it goes rancid. I won’t tell you which one of the above things I didn’t do the first time I fried a turkey.
