Some pics of yesterday and the fried turkey experience. I used an Emril recipe – a cajun marinade and rub. Great flavor with a little kick. Thanks to Wayne’s great advice, there were no explosions or tense moments with a fire extinguisher.
The Schneiders are here from Brazil. It was awesome to sit around and hear our prayer done in Porteguese.

glad to hear that you didn’t burn the house down. i usually smoke the turkeys myself. it makes for better sandwiches.
OK…the pic of you and row holding glasses of wine in front of the turkey friar — umm, nevermind — you could have at least had beer.
LOL…I said Turkey “friar” — does that make it a religious turkey?
Grant rocks at turkey frying! GREAT Thanksgiving!!!
So where was Amy? She’s not in any of the pics. You have her slaving away all day while you enjoyed frying up turkeys and hanging with friends?
I’m sure she had a great Thanksgiving as well!
Humm…. 4 young minor girls, all under the age of 14 and a wine bottle in the middle of them all. Just what are you teaching the youth of Parker Colorado?
I want to publicly apologize to the “cyber” world for my comment on Grant’s site concerning the wine bottle and the minors. It was to be a lame joke on the composition of the picture and not meant to be hurtful in any way. It was not intended to be judgemental in anyway on the consumption of alcohol in front children.
You don’t need to apologize, Denise. It was at my house anyway with them sitting at our bar. And only three of the girls are under the age of 14!! hee hee!! Grant’s actually having to work hard to undo what Rowland and I are teaching our Colorado youth!
