What a great weekend for college football!! Unless you are a Razorback fan. More on that later…
South Carolina at Tennessee
Did not even see this coming. And Spurrier out coached himself at the end of the game – using back to back timeouts. But losing Shaw was devastating for the Gamecocks. Hard to overcome that and Tennessee made out with a good win. With Carolina’s loss – the SEC East just got blowed up!!! That’s right – blowed.
Georgia at Vanderbilt
I saw this coming. Georgia is just to beat up and injured. They look like a MASH unit. Great win for the Commodores – Anchor Down or whatever it is they say. But Georgia is done. Stick a fork in them.
Auburn at Texas A&M
Thought the game would be close but figured Manziel would pull something out of his hat at the end. He didn’t.
And it wasn’t for the lack of opportunity as Auburn needed to take a page out of the Peyton Manning book of clock management but they didn’t and they got lucky.
Not sure how much the shoulder injury is going to be a factor moving forward for the Aggies. But the Aggies look like a bad team without Johnny Football. Their defense is atrocious.
LSU at Ole Miss
Speaking of hats – whoaaaaaaaaaa nelllllly!!! Ole Moss dominates for three quarters, rolls over for most of the 4th quarter, then kicks the game winner after the last one was blocked. C- razzzzy. Never saw LSU losing to Ole Miss. Ever.
Ole Miss is just as banged up as Georgia but managed to beat LSU. Can’t figure out the bayou kitty cats but they will be ready for ‘Bama in two weeks.
FSU at Clemson
There is no better pregame than Clemson’s tradition. Google it and watch it. It’s awesome.
Unfortunately that was all that was awesome for Clemson against FSU. Winston is a beast and Boyd looked lost. Clemson looked overwhelmed most of the night and FSU looked like they were playing a FCS team.
FSU now is going to make the national championship race reallllllly interesting. If Alabama, Oregon, and FSU all end the year undefeated…….then what?
Alabama still has some work in front of them – LSU, Auburn, and whoever comes out of the SEC East. Can’t see the Ducks dropping a game but stranger things have happened.
Arkansas at Alabama
Not sure what to make of the Hogs. They are thin – we knew that. But I never thought this year would be another 52-0 blowout. And it could have been worse.
I genuinely would love to hear from my Hog fans out there – are you happy with the coaching and just think you need a good recruiting class or two? Or are you nervous that maybe Bielema isn’t going to work out? Just curious.
